In Hickory Flat tonight, River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity defeated Sequoyah Lady Chiefs 4-1. This win puts the Lady Knights at 14-6 for the season and 11-3 in region 6-AAAAAA play.
Sydney Osada pitched River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity to victory at Lady Chiefs field. She lasted seven innings, allowing eight hits and one run while striking out six.
Maci Robinson and Ava Fouts were in the circle for Sequoyah, allowing seven hits and four runs over seven innings while striking out four.
River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity tallied seven hits on the night. Lily Bell and Grace Hamrick all had multiple hits for River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity. Bell led River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity with three hits in four at bats. River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Hamrick led the way with two.
Sequoyah collected eight hits. Senior Anslee Day and Sophomore Molly Stevens all managed multiple hits for Sequoyah. Day went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Sequoyah in hits.
River Ridge (14-6;11-3) play host to Creekview (18-3;14-0) on Thursday night (SENIOR NIGHT) at 5:55pm
