The junior lefty had all her pitches working today at the ball yard. Sydney Osada shut down Harrison, throwing a complete game shutout and leading River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity to a 8-0 victory on Friday at a Lady Knights Field.
Elyse Navarro led River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity to victory by driving in four runs. She went 2-for-2 at the plate. Navarro drove in runs on a single in the fourth and a double in the sixth.
River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity opened up scoring in the first inning. Grace Hamrick singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity scored three runs in the sixth inning. River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity big bats were led by Navarro, Payton Halford, and Becca Bray.
Osada kept the visiting Lady Hoyas in check from the circle as she and her Lady Knight’s defense allowed just five hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking zero.
Abbi Gravlin, Harrison’s ace, toed the rubber for Harrison. She went three and a third innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out three. Relief pitcher Riley Curtis threw two and a third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Cat McCulley, Navarro, Payton Halford, and Becca Bray each managed multiple hits for River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity. Bray, Halford, Navarro, and McCulley each managed two hits to lead River Ridge offense. River Ridge Lady Knights Varsity didn’t commit a single error in the field.
Sara Peterson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Harrison in hits.

River Ridge next contest is Tuesday Sept. 17 at 5:30pm at neighboring rival, Sequoyah.
