On the Pitch with Coach

Coach Dillon – Varsity

My coaching experience is extensive, as I started coaching varsity level soccer 1997 in New York before moving to Mississippi where I began the Natchez High School soccer program. I have been at the varsity level for most of my 20+ years in coaching.  The majority of that time was spent coaching varsity girls’ soccer at Sequoyah High School (2002-2016), where we won one Region Championship and 4 sub-Region Championships.  Those Sequoyah teams have gone on to appear in six state tournaments.  I have had the honor of being named County Coach of the Year 7 times and Region Coach of the Year twice (2007 & 2016).  Over 30 of my student athletes have gone on to play at the collegiate level. I have 149 career wins in Cherokee County.  I have two children, Billy (A senior at River Ridge) and Kayleigh (An 8th grader at Mill Creek).
