River Ridge held up a good front up until the second quarter. Francisco Altamirano was injured, along with Cooper Williams and Jackson Head. We hope these players have a quick recovery and are ready for the next game. We stayed tied until the third quarter, battling Woodstock on their turf. With the score at 19-19, River Ridge was moments away from scoring another touchdown when one of our players got injured, inches away from the end zone. The final score was 25-19, with Woodstock winning the scrimmage. The Rowdy Ridge Support Section was overflowing with spirit as we encouraged our team with our bright enthusiasm, music, props, and themed clothes. Additionally, with River Ridge cheerleaders, we made sure the other side could hear us. Although we may have lost, we showed a team improvement, encouragement, and sportsmanship. This will continue throughout the season, hopefully, including more wins.
